56th Journey

We got the old tree up about 10 days ago and Madell says why don’t we have a party. So I get on the phone and call up 30 old friends and 25 said they’d come. So last night we had a party and 25 showed up. The other 5 had prior commitments.

They were from 60 thru 96 yrs old. We are all still dancing of a sort, once or twice a week. We don’t kick as high as we once did tho. 4 men were from 90 to 96 – one has just been married about 2 years. One man had his 80th birthday and got engaged just recently. It was fun and we survived.

THE BIG EVENT OF THE YEAR! Our 1st great grand kid – Pace – was born to Gelsey and Dave on Nov 26 – he weighed in at 7.5 lbs. I just now got a picture of him laying up under the Christmas tree like a special present. Dau Dawn is out there now thru Christmas. Don’t know when we will get to see him – next spring I guess.

We made it thru our 64 yrs of matrimony on Nov 22 – Still moving along. We made a couple or trips to S Padre Island in S Tex and a couple to Okla this year. That is about all we got done to show for our efforts.

All of our family is doing good.
